Effect of meteorological factors and Air Quality Index on the COVID-19 epidemiological characteristics: an ecological study among 210 countries

The survival of COVID-19 in different environments may be affected by a variety weather, pollution, and seasonal parameters. Therefore, the present study aims to conduct an ecological investigation on average growth rate daily cases deaths influenced environmental factors (temperature, humidity, air pollution) using sample size adjusted cumulative incidence based five 60-day periods. Research data was gathered official websites, including information COVID-19, meteorological data, pollution indicators from December 31, 2019, October 12, 2020, 210 countries. Spearman correlation generalized additive model (GAM) were used analyze data. During observed period, (r = −0.08, P =0.151) (r= −0.09, 0.207) not correlated with humidity. Also, there negative relationship between new Air Quality Index (AQI) wind (new wind: r=−0.25, P= 0.04). Furthermore, related first second 60 day associated humidity (AQI). result GAM showed effect AQI deaths. This provides evidence for positive cases, deaths, AQI.
